*Hippidy*Hoppidy*Easter's*On*Its*Way

Well...today was Easter! What a precious and sacred holiday! Let me first start off with saying that I hope we all remembered the reason we celebrate Easter. How grateful I am for the knowledge of the resurrection and for a Savior that did so much for me...did what I cannot do for myself.

*****RANDOMNESS*****

So I started at Outback! It was a blast...so far! Everyone is so laid back and friendly. They really genuinely help each other out and care about the bus-boys! We had about a 15 minute lecture on respecting the busboys! They do tons of work for hardly any money! I must say, I do not covet their job! I had my expo shift yesterday and that was a blast! We got to go around and check out what everyone else does! We did a line check where we taste test all of the sauces, soups, etc. for the day. That was fun, but a little nauseating! I felt sick with all of the flavors of everything in my mouth! I was desperate for water! Let's just say, I would NEVER EVER EVER on this earth recommend the Wassabi Vinaigrette Sauce! NASTY!

Let's see...what else happened this week? Tom came down with Eric Edge and Mickey, and took my husband out on his glorious boat! The idiots went out in freezing cold weather! The babies and I stayed home and hung out with the Sister Missionaries! Then they came home with Domino's and cookies...that I had to make! We spent the rest of the night eating hot chocolate chip and white macadamia nut cookies, drinking cold milk, and playing poker! I was killing them...then eventually got slaughtered! I quit early and cleaned.

I got to see my grandpa, aka PAP! He came for Easter, and we went to Kinston after work on Saturday and had dinner with him. No one would pick a place to eat...and for some crazy reason we ended choosing the Chinese Buffet. Okay, so that doesn't sound too bad does it? But Pap, my dad, my cousin, Brooks, and half of the kids didn't want Chinese. So while we are in route to the buffet, who complains where we're going? Yup! Brooks ((along with the help of Sela))...anyways...I call my dad to change plans and we ended up at Ham's! Mmm...such a step up! Too bad my dad didn't get any of his food until AFTER we all ate. The waitress forgot to put his order in! **Yes, I am taking mental notes of what NOT to be**

After we went to ice-cream at Dairy Queen! So we get there, right, and there are two ladies behind the counter. There are 11 of us and the older one says to the younger one..."Are they all eating ice-cream?"...the girl replies..."Yes"...and the older one says "Well, I'm gone!"...and leaves! That poor little girl had to get us all ice-cream by herself! I hope that lady gets TONS of people on her next shift, and I hope she has to do it all by herself and redo some of them! I couldn't believe it! Brooks and I just started laughing! It was horrible!

*****UPDATES & EXCITING NEWS*****

I think the most exciting news, that most may already know, is that we are moving! YEAH! We will be residing in the great old Kinston, NC! It would be an understatement to say we were excited! The time has come for us to move on from Morehead City. The lessons we have learned here and the lives that have touched our own will forever be remembered. I am sure there will be a day when we may consider coming back, but the Lord has greater things in store for our little family! With much prayer and consideration, we know this is a decision we have made with the Lord, and a decision that will benefit us. I am sure that we will be able to grow and strengthen in ways we never knew we could. Brooks is ready for a career change, and will be able to do so in Kinston. I am ready for a scene change, and hopefully going back to a place that I love so dearly will be good for my heart and soul. There are much needed stress-relieving activities that can be done in such a place! I am so grateful for all that I have experienced here in Morehead City. It has been a wonderful place to live and start a family in, however, I do not think it is a place to raise my particular family in forever. I am so grateful for the many moves from state to state and town to town that I experienced. I know that because of so much change in my life, it made me the strong independent bubbly person I am today. I hope that my children will get the chance to experience the world the way I did. To learn and grow from all walks of life. Change is a good thing! This move, I am sure, will be the first of many. I know that the Lord has plenty of work for Brooks and I to do...and we are excited for the journey and adventures that the future holds!

*****THE MINI-REECE'S PIECES*****

The kids are still pretty much perfect! That may be a little biased, but I'm sure Brooks would agree! :) They are so silly and continue to keep Brooks and I cracking up!
I took them to the park the other day, and THEY LOVED IT! Donnie had to take a basketball AND a soccer ball with him! We were there for a good 45 minutes and then I decided it was time to head home. An entire 23 minutes later we finally left! All of those 23 minutes were spent chasing him and running from one side of the park to another to get the balls. He realized that if he threw one ball in one direction I would go to retrieve it, and that gave him plenty of time to play in the other direction! This continued for about as long as it took me to throw both balls across the parking lot so I didn't have to mess with him anymore! Then I spent the next several minutes looking like a horrible mother...holding a child in a car seat with our blankets all over her, and the other child by one arm with him screaming at the top of his lungs for all of the strangers to save him, while flinging his teeny tiny little body everywhere. I thought I was going to pull his arm out of the socket. ((For those that remember, that is a very traumatic experience for Donnie)) I have vowed to myself to never attempt the park alone...ever!

Donnie still hates nursery. We can't bribe him with the world to stay there! I really don't know what it is! Brooks and I swap babies constantly through church! I am tempted to just leave him home! He'd sleep all morning anyways! He doesn't usually wake up until late! ((Chill out mom, I really wouldn't do that!)) Today he was jumping off EVERYTHING! He would climb on the couch and jump off. He would climb on his bike and jump off. He would climb on our bed and jump off. So this one time he jumped as hard as he could right on Brooks and I...and I said, "Hey! Are you spiderman"...and he looked at me like I was a complete fool and said, "No way Mama...I DON-DON!"...Brooks just died! And said, "Dang! Mama got rocked!"...my boys are so crazy!

My little angel Lyla Alana is so beautiful! She is always so well behaved. Which worries me, because Donnie was just as good! He has gotten so wild...I don't know if we can handle two wild ones! Our Patriarchal Blessings do tell us that our children will be great and interesting challenges for us! So we'll see what's in store for us...Anyways...she wore a beautiful dress from Nana Lyla for Easter today! She was a little Belle of the Ball that's for sure! I just wanna eat her up!

*****SPIRITUAL THOUGHT OF THE WEEK*****
